Watch the Highlights from the SingleTree Kick-Off Meeting in Norway

We’re pleased to announce that the official video recap of the SingleTree Project Kick-Off Meeting is now available.

In September 2024, we officially launched the SingleTree project at the headquarters of the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) in Ås, Norway. It marked the beginning of an exciting four-year journey focused on transforming European forestry through digital innovation.

The kick-off brought together our international consortium for the first time in person. It was an excellent opportunity to align visions, coordinate work across different project areas, and strengthen collaboration among partners.

A key part of the meeting was an engaging session dedicated to our three Living Labs—based in Spain, Switzerland, and Sweden—where we discussed their specific forest contexts and began defining the methodologies and stakeholders essential for implementation.

SingleTree is an ambitious Horizon Europe project that aims to develop a digital value chain at the single-tree level to enhance climate adaptation, forest resilience, multifunctionality, and the cascading use of woody biomass in precision forestry.

The project will deliver:

  • Advanced forest monitoring strategies using AI and remote sensing
  • Adaptive forest management at the individual tree level
  • Intelligent machinery to support precision operations
  • Improved traceability and early prediction of wood quality for optimized biomass use

What happened at the kick-off? In the video, several members of our consortium share their experiences and insights from the event.

Watch the video now and discover how SingleTree is setting the foundation for the future of forestry.
